This iconic dessert dates back more than 200 years ago when honey reigned as an important ingredient in Russian cuisine and was commonly used as a natural sweetener, long before sugar was readily available. The Russian Medovik Cake is made of layers and layers of soft, caramelised honey cake and sandwiched between thick butter spread.

Pair a slice of sweet Medovik cake with cups of hot tea for a delightful afternoon treat.
